Barra Collins is an experienced lighting designer and production manager based in London.



Barra trained at Goldsmiths London and Trinity College Dublin. He began his design career in 2004 when he became the resident lighting designer at the Jack Studio Theatre. It was there, and through his work as a technician at the Battersea Arts Centre (B.A.C.), that Barra developed his skills as a designer and technical / production manager.

Since graduating Barra has had the pleasure to work with a wide range of artists including PunchDrunk, ENO, The Old Vic, Nomad, Kate MaccGwire, Eleven (Arianna Palin), The B.A.C., Black Sun Theatre Company, South Side Arts and Chopped Logic.

Recent credits include: Lighting Designer for Sleepy Hollow at the Jack Studio Theatre; Lighting Designer and Technical Manager for Punchdrunks event for Grey Goose Vodka at 33 Fitzroy Square; Technical Supervisor and Programmer at ENO/Punchdrunk's sell out production of "The Duchess of Malfi" at Gallion's Reach; Lighting Designer for A Christmas Carol at the Jack Studio Theatre; Lighting Designer for NOMAD's A Ritual For Elephant and Castle at the Coronet Theatre; Lighting Designer for Mind The Gap at the B.A.C.'s "Council Camber" theatre; and Production Electrician for Tunnel 228 by PunchDrunk and Kevin Spacey's Old Vic.
