Barra Collins is appearing as Nick in Lads.
Four lads on a night out in London taking in pubs, clubs and the night bus home. Encountering bouncers, loud girls, crazy taxi drivers and many more as 30 characters are played by just four actors who never leave the stage in this hilarious, physical and frenetic comedy. Looking at what men speak bout and more importantly what they don't.
LADS was produced through the Old Vic New Voices scheme where it was workshopped and received a rehearsed reading at the Old Vic. Written and Directed by James Kermack, whos work produced this year includes "Buckaroo For One" (Arcola Theatre) and "Talking Shit And Being Influential" (Brighton Festival)
Starring Jack Badley, Barra Collins, Frey Le Maistre and Anthony Thomason.
REVIEWS
"Collins excels in his portrayal. With his... hilarious range of voices and brilliant comic timing, he had the audience eating out of his hand within minutes. He has the ability to both play the clown and tug on the audience's heartstrings, and the ease at which he slips between the two is effortless."
Broadway Baby on 'LADS' 5 Stars
"Perfectly delivered...bursting to the seams with originality...witty to the extreme and all so very real... could be mistaken for real conversation, so truthful is the dialogue... one of the hottest tickets of the fringe"
Broadway Baby on 'LADS' 5 Stars
"It is impressive work of this quality can be found on the fringe...what is surprising about the piece is its rise to an unexpected climax... careers along...laugh a minute... leaves you reeling in the power of it"
