'This is the YPT underground service. Customers please be aware.'

When you pick up a free paper on the London Underground what do you understand about the news? YPT2 explore this question with words, action and music.

YPT2 have been working with Hannah Ringham, a founder member of Shunt. She has also worked as a performer for Clod Ensemble’s The Red Ladies, Ether Frolics with Sound and Fury and has just returned from a world tour of England with Tim Crouch .

Hannah recently curated a festival, The Southwark Fayre, in collaboration with Eleanor Barrett in The Shunt Lounge celebrating Southwark borough and the local residents. This sense of being poised on some kind of threshold is all the more topical because of the precariousness of the age in which we live. As the artist Doris Salcedo has said, 'Precariousness produces an image in which the nature of the work is never entirely present.' The artists' diverse practices of sculpture, video, photography, installation and performance each tap different aspects of the theme.

BAC YPT is young people's chance to experiment, create and perform original theatre on a professional stage.
